Latin phrase Praeteritum <\/em>translates to passed by\u2014events that started and ended in the past. My pieces Praeteritum I-III, represent embodied grief\u2014significant past lifechanging events I have experienced. I signal to these via visual elements, embedded materially, and conceptual themes. The ring forms are ground shards of 100-year-old glass medicine bottles, which are partially glided, bound with silver wire treated with black patina, and enamels. These are paired with a pendant that features a prosthetic eye set in a gilded circular form, that is bound with knotted silver wire treated with black patina to point to the complex pathways that we sometimes share in our realties\u2014as the journey back stillness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Biography <\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Eden Lennox is a contemporary art jeweller from Perth, Australia. She has participated in over 50 group exhibitions, and nine solo exhibitions across Australia. Her work has been showcased in international exhibitions, events, and triennials in Europe, and Australia. Her narrative jewellery works are connected to memory, social signals, and gesture\u2014via metonymy and metaphor. Her work explores reuse, the up-cycling ethos, and the visual aesthetics seeded in proto-punk, punk, and post-punk.\u202f\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n
