This work is a new development into how we process, store and transform traumatic experiences in our lives. The main element is a pebble form, a container to act in a similar way as a worry stone. A physical space, a receptacle to aid in the transformation of challenging events that become part of our lives. A private piece to be worn in the pocket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The print and pin accompany the piece to act as a visual signifier to be worn if desired. To open conversation, to aid in processing and discussion.  The paper will wear and deteriorate over time, just like the events or situations that become covered in life as it continues around you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The enamel process requires the application of multiple layers of powdered glass. It can be transparent or opaque. The surface stoned back to reveal the underneath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The language and process mimic our emotional self and our journey towards healing. The beauty of the vessel symbolises the layers and \u201csilver lining\u201d that can eventuate from negative experiences.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Biography <\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Claire is a contemporary artist, who makes both exhibition and custom jewellery. Claire lives and works in the Perth Hills and is heavily influenced by the surrounding bushland. She uses a vast array of techniques to explore mark making and to develop a narrative with her work, commenting and observing on the ways we interact with each other and our natural world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
